Hanoi Sapa Halong By Train

DAY 1: ARRIVAL HANOI (No meal)

DAY 2: HANOI CITY TOUR – NIGHT TRAIN TO LAO CAI (B/L/D)

The colonial capital city Hanoi is a unique Asian city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental pagodas and temples. This full day tour takes you around Hanoi's most interesting sights, including the Ho Chi Minh Complex: Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and his Stilt House, Presidential Palace and the One Pillar Pagoda nearby, and the Old Quarter also known as the 36 streets and guilds. Also on the tour - the Lake of the Restored Sword and Ngoc Son Temple, the Temple of Literature, peaceful West Lake with lovers street Thanh Nien, the sedate Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple and one of the city's museums, either the History Museum or the Ethnology Museum. Dinner & take night train to Lao Cai


DAY 3: LAO CAI –COC LY MARKET + BOAT TRIP - SAPA (B/L/D)

The train arrives at the Lao Cai train station at approximately 6:00am. Breakfast at local restaurant, After breakfast, 2 hours morning road trip Drive from Lao Cai (2hrs) to Coc Ly market where situated between stunning mountains by the Chay River. Every Tuesday morning, the people from the surrounding ethnic villages such as Flower H’mong, Phu La and Dao Tuyen gather to sell and buy their products. Having explored the market, you will have a boat trip to Flower H’mong village of Na Nen then trek to Trung Do village of Tay minority people. Enjoy the picnic lunch in local house with Tay people. From there we travel by boat down the river and experience the magnificent sight of the beautiful river banks.You will be picked up in Bao Nhai village and drive uphill to Sa Pa. Dinner with special River Salmon & overnight at Sapa

DAY 4: SAPA – CAT CAT VILLAGE - LAO CAI FOR NIGHT TRAIN TO HANOI (B/L/D)

Breakfast at hotel , Meet your guide in the hotel lobby for a walking tour to the hilltribe villages of Cat Cat, home to the H'mong ethnic minority peoples. The road from Sa Pa winds through hilly terrain and past terraced rice fields, where you reach Cat Cat cultural village, just 3kms from Sa Pa town. A leisurely walk through the old village offers an overview of the traditional customs and practices of the ethnic Black H'mong minority. Stop by a stunning waterfall and the vestige of a hydroelectric power station, constructed by the French during the colonial era in Viet Nam. Lunch at local restaurant then afternoon bus ride down hill to Lao Cai station, have dinner in the restaurant, and then get on the night train, soft sleeper back to Hanoi.

DAY 5: HA NOI – HA LONG – HA NOI (B/L/D)

Arrive Ha noi in early morning, breakfast at local restaurant, drive to Halong - Halong Bay was awarded by UNESCO as a natural heritage in 1994. This four hour drive will show you the diversity of the North Vietnam villages and rice fields along the journey - Board a private boat for a cruise in Halong Bay, a world heritage site recognized by UNESCO in 1994. Explore Thien Cung Grotto, round over Tuan Chau Island, Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island and Sail Island. Lunch of fresh seafood is served on board. Return to Hanoi with stop-overs at ceramic and hand embroidery workshops en route. Arrive Hanoi, dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 6: TRANSFER TO AIRPORT / HANOI DEPARTURE (B)

After breakfast in hotel, proceed to airport for return flight.
